Former Assistant Secretary of Energy James Rispoli Joins Project Time & Cost, Inc.

M. Gene Brooks, Jr., Chairman of Project Time & Cost, Inc. (PT&C), is pleased to announce that effective January 1, 2010, James A. Rispoli has become President and Chief Executive Officer of the company. During the announcement, Brooks stated, “In this capacity, Jim brings his recognized expertise in project management to lead our company to further enhance our services for our clients worldwide.”
Rispoli recently completed over three years of service as the Assistant Secretary of Energy for Environmental Management. He was responsible for the cleanup of waste and environmental contamination from the nation’s nuclear-related research and production activities. Previously, Mr. Rispoli was Director of the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Engineering and Construction Management, responsible for management policy, assessment and oversight of DOE’s facilities, infrastructure and capital projects. Additional experiences Mr. Rispoli brings include being a Captain in the U.S. Navy’s Civil Engineer Corps and a corporate officer in the engineering and construction management industry. He has also served as an executive advisor with Booz Allen Hamilton.
Current and recent accomplishments and recognitions of Jim include service to the Project Management Institute (PMI) as a member of its corporate council, presentations at PMI government forums for executive agency personnel in Washington, DC and Beijing, China, the American Society of Civil Engineers Civil Government Award (2006) and Presidents’ Award (2009). He is a past Vice President of the Society of American Military Engineers, and past Chair of ASCE’s Construction Division. He currently serves as Chair of ASCE’s Industry Leaders Council. A licensed Professional Engineer in several states, Jim earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from Manhattan College, a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire, and a Master’s degree in Business from Central Michigan University.
In his introduction to the company’s staff, Jim stated “I am honored to join Project Time & Cost, Inc., a prominent project management firm in facilities, infrastructure, nuclear and forensics engineering and look forward to leading such a fine team in service to our clients.”
