Corps of Engineers Again Contracts With Project Time & Cost, Inc.

April, 2009

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Walla Walla (Washington) District awarded Project Time & Cost, Inc. (PT&C) a five year contract valued at $90 million. Walla Walla District is designated as the USACE’s Cost Engineering Directory/Center of Expertise.

This cost engineering services contract will support the USACE’s mission in performing environmental clean-up, demolition and/or restoration. Services may also be utilized by the Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management, National Nuclear Safety Administration, Environmental Protection Agency, General Services Administration, Bureau of Reclamation, Forest Service, Department of Transportation and other USACE Districts.

PT&C’s services will include program and project management, cost estimating, value engineering, scheduling, risk analysis and other related services. According to Gene Brooks, PT&C Founder and Chairman, “Fulfillment of this contract requires a firm with exceptional skills, experience, and understanding in cost engineering specific to the defined areas. PT&C is the firm most qualified to deliver and most capable of successfully fulfilling this contract.”

This work requires the use of specialized software programs, including MII, Primavera and Crystal Ball. PT&C developed the detail cost estimating program, MII, in partnership with USACE. MII has become the required system for all USACE districts and design firms providing services to USACE. PT&C is the primary provider of MII training, offering classroom-style training at its Atlanta, GA headquarters, as well as private on-site training.
