Generally speaking, nuclear plants were designed for a life of about 30 years. Newer plants are designed for a 40 to 60 year operating life. PT&C has extensive experience in support of all phases of a reactor and facility lifespan. Specifically, for over 20 years, PT&C has supported the US Department of Energy with management oversight and engineering and radioactive contamination cleanup programs. We have similarly helped the UK National Decommissioning Authority. Most recently, we supported an international consortium of countries and businesses with construction design support of a reactor in southern France.
